Grandma Burte had the most love, sweetness, strength and courage I have ever known in such a small frame. Her soft voice and gentle nature drew people together. She was the heart of the family, as everyone would gather at her home during the holidays.
She always thought of others and made sure everyone was taken care of. She never seemed to worry about herself - even fighting off lung cancer as if it was no big deal. She worried more about how others felt, than what she had to deal with herself. She handled adversity as if it was just an ordinary day, with her quiet strength.
She will be dearly missed. Her love will be remembered and live on in her family. I take comfort in knowing that she was dearly loved while she was with us. She is in a better place, being cared for by her beloved Audie.
With all my love, I miss you and will remember you always Grandma.
