Obituary of Patricia Waye (nee Plumb)
WAYE (nee Plumb), Patricia (Pat, Trish) - In her 65th year died peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 24th, 2010 with her loving family by her side. Trish was a beautiful gift to all and touched so many lives with love, kindness, and laughter. She nursed in the Maternity Newborn Unit at St. Joseph's Health Care Center for over 30 years, where she held many newborn babies in her loving arms during that time. She guided many new mothers as they journeyed into the wonderful world of motherhood. Predeceased by her mother, Margaret Plumb (July 7th, 2010) and her father George Plumb (Feb 25th, 1996). Loving wife of Bill Waye. Cherished mother/mother-in-law of Bill & Dianne Waye and Jeff & Anne-Marie Bergeron-Waye. Loving and fun grandma to Emma & Cameron, and soon to arrive Eleonore. Deeply loved and remembered by sisters, brothers, spouses Bob & Carole Plumb, Liz & Don Mills, Mike & Jettie Plumb, Fran Plumb and Stephen Thomson, and Marg & Peter Vallee. Fondly remembered by aunt and uncle Gerald & Irene Ferguson, Aunt Thelma Ferguson, the Waye's Bonnie, Perry, Ross, Angus, Kathy, Lynn, Faye, George and spouses, several nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and neighbors. Trish loved spending time with her family, long time friends Joanne & Bill Fisher, The Golden Girls, The Scrapbooking Gals, and the Movie Gals, amongst others. Trish lived a full life and her favorite saying was "Live, Love, and Laugh". She fought her battle with cancer living every moment, a day at a time with dignity while continuing to love deeply and laugh often. Trish you will be embraced by Mom & Dad. We will continue to "live in the moment" and celebrate your memory and life. The world was a better place because of your presence. Stay beautiful and rest gently. Special thanks to the VON Palliative Care Team (PJ, Jen, and Becky) and the Chemo Unit at LRCP for their kindness and compassion. Apologies to anyone who may have been missed. There's really not enough print to list everyone who's life was touched by her. A memorial service will be held at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday August 26th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, and/or Neonatal Unit, St Joseph's Heath Care Center.
