Obituary of Dr. William Norman Downe

Supported by family and friends, Dr. William Norman Downe passed peacefully on Remembrance Day, Friday, November 11th, 2011. Loving father of Peter (Kathy) Downe of Guelph; Lise Downe of Toronto; Bret Downe (Alma Bernardo Downe), Bill Downe (Sandra De Salvo), all of London; and Sarah Pivnick (Chris Day) of Vancouver. Loving brother of Joan Durfey of London and Mary Downe of Vancouver. Loving nephew of Kay Downe and cousin of Bill (Robin) Downe and Bev (Ted) Tedford. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Loving grandfather of Julia (Adrian), Conor (Julia), Tristan, Jordan, Maya, Mackenzie and Anastasia and great-grandfather of Elena. Dad treasured and appreciated his many friends. Many, many thanks to the caregivers at Parkwood and Victoria Hospitals and personal support workers Thea, Dereck and Sophy. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, Ontario, on Wednesday, November 16th, 2011 from 1:00-3:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. following the afternoon visitation.
