Know that our thoughts are with you. We always felt so welcomed at the dock with Maurice’s warm smiles and mischievous grins. His quiet, humble nature made his sense of humor and huge heart bigger than life. Thanks Maurice...we love you and thank you for all you left behind. Because of you, we have the privilege of the rest of your wonderful family in our lives.

Joan, we are thinking of you. It was always a highlight of our day when Mr. Gosney came in the store. The stories and twinkle in his eyes will always be remembered.

I was very sad to hear the news of Maurice's passing and my thoughts are with you Joan, Susan. Jamie and John. I have lots of fond memories of Uncle Maurice and please know he is in a better place now and you all will meet again, this I am very sure of. Although I am not able to make the funeral I will be there in spirit and in touch with you all in the near future. My best to you all.

I remember Mr. Gosney from my youth. At 15 years old I had an interest in trains and my parents helped me buy a railroad scanner so I could hear the train crews moving through Paris, Ontario. MEG was my favourite dispatcher, and I can still recall his voice and the "gong" tone that sounded every time he released the mic switch. I met him briefly when I invited myself into the dispatcher's office during a trip to London. Although I never knew him personally, he kept me company for many hours.
