My thoughts are with you in these sad times. I have known Dave from my days working with him at Crain Drummond and Relizon. I will sadly miss him. I have very special memories of Dave and a happy tear of joy comes to my eyes when I think of all the good times I have had with him over the last 15 or so years. I remember my trip to Michigan with Dave and had the wonderful opportunity to spend 4 days with him, working, playing golf and maybe having a beer or two. Travelling and playing hockey with him and against him in company tournaments in both Ontario and Quebec. Are memories I will hold forever. I will cherrish my memories and I am thankful I had the opportunity to have a friend like Dave. sincerely Brian

Glenda,Mike and Laura, I hope your family will be comforted at this difficult by the fact that Dave was truly loved and respected by all who knew him. Sharing years of car rides down the 401 to Lacrosse games and tourneys watching those little boys grow up on and off the field/floor and become young men...was truly a special time we shared . Dave's humour and wit and straight forward observations made him someone people really enjoyed being with...a fantastic guy gone way too soon.

Glenda and Family...We offer our heartfelt sympathy to all of you at this most difficult time. Many happy conversations were had with Dave at Jr. Knights games watching Mike and Wyatt play. Dave & I worked for a while in the same office building and would often discuss the previous nights game while off to our offices. Truly, one of the friendliest, happiest men we've had the priviledge to know. While we mourn with you, we take comfort in knowing Dave is finally free of the pain that racked his body but never his spirt. Blessings to all of you. Keith and Paulette McAllister

It is with heartfelt sadness that I send this message. I have known Dave since we were just tiny little guys playing hockey with South London. I had the greatest fortune to spend our childhool growing up together - spending tons of time together through hockey and family trips. Although I hadn't seen Dave for some time, we crossed paths again last winter in St Marys where Dave stood at the glass - a proud Dad! While deeply saddened, reading the other messages posted here simply shows that the Dave that was my childhood best bud was truly a great man in all respects. My thoughts are with the entire family ....

Glenda, Laura, Mike and Family, We were deeply saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. He was an amazing individual and an incredible inspiration to everyone that knew him. We want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. The following is poem I read at my step father’s funeral a few years back. I pray that someday these words help ease some of your pain. Blessing, Glenn, Darlene, Keith and Kara, Letter from Heaven To my dearest family some things I'd like to say But first of all to let you know that I arrived today, I'm writing this from Heaven. Here I shall dwell with God above Here, there's no more tears of sadness. Here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through God picked me up and hugged me and He said "I welcome you, It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone, As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on. I need you here badly, you are part of my plan There's so much that we have to do to help our mortal man." God gave me a fist of things that he wished for me to do And foremost on the list was to watch and care for you And when you lie in bed at night, the days chores put to flight God and I are closest to you . . in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth and all those loving years Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. 1 wish that I could tell you all that God has planned If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand But one thing is for certain though my life on earth is o'er I'm closer to you now than I ever was before. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb But together we can do it by taking one day at a time. When you're walking down the street and you've got me on your mind I'm walking in your footsteps, only half a step behind And when it's time for you to go from that body to be free Remember you're not going ... you're just coming here to me. Unknown
