Steve and Family: I just heard the news about your dad and wanted to let you know how very sorry I am. I know that this is a sad and difficult time for you. I will always have fond memories of Harold from all those great family gatherings at the Lachine house. He was always such a fun person to be around and everyone will miss his great wit and charm. I know first hand how profound a loss it is when you realize that he will no longer be there for all the events in your life. I can tell you though that the very best way to mark his passing is by filling your mind with all of the wonderful memories you have of happier times. Your dad lived a long and rewarding life and accomplished so much in his lifetime. He will long be remembered as the hardworking, intelligent and loving man that he was. Mourning a loss as great as this is not easy, however, I think it is made more bearable by your faith. Knowing that death marks a beginning, not just an end, is one of the most comforting principles that faith teaches us. We can take solace in knowing that your dad has gone to his eternal rest. He lived a faith-filled and upright life and he will be remembered for all the good that he did in his lifetime. Please know that I am sharing your grief at this very sad and difficult time. I ask that God bestow His choicest blessings on you and your wonderful family. May your faith give you the strength to carry on. God Bless You

Knowing this is a very difficult time for you and your family we trust you find comfort in knowing the Lord has promised to be your comforter. Although our visits were not as frequent as we should have made them for which we are sorry, all were very memorable. We always had such great time! Harold will be missed ! We would love to be there for you sometime during the next couple of days. Due to Betty Martin's (Crits) girls and their families visiting with us from the U.S. 'til Fri., it appears now we will try to make it to the Mass on Fri. providing it is an open Mass. Blessings with Love!

Leonard & Joy called us yesterday to let us know about Harold and my immediate thought was that we had lost a friend, that although we never seen much, admired as someone that we could share a laugh with and gain little nuggets of wisdom and encouragement to help us through life. Even though long stretches of time would pass between visits with Harold it was like we could pick up talking to him and feel so at ease...like we had just talked the day before. I will remembe Harold with many good thoughts as I know you will also.

Dear Donna and family, I just want to let you all know how deeply saddened I am at the passing of Harold. He was truly a terrific guy. I enjoyed working with both you and him. He had such a wonderful sense of humor. I will miss my trips to Lambeth each week. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

I was saddened to hear about Harold's death. He is fondly remembered for his great voice and witty remarks at choir practices at St. George's, and when he sang the psalms at various Masses, our voices joined joyfully with his. We will certainly miss him greatly. My sincerest condolences to Donna and all of the family.
