Our sincere sympathy to all of the family in the loss of a wonderful man, as told to us in the stories of the trip to Florida with Tammy and Jeff and Eric and Jared Volland. Tammy is our daughter and she thought the world of David. She is very sad tonight and I just had to send this email to let you know how much his strength and kindness touched those around him.

My sincere condolunces to the whole family. I actually also knew Dave from Comber On As well as a great gentleman it was always wonderfull to run into him at meetings and see that great smile and hear all the wonderfull things happening with his family. I know his family was his greatest achievement. When he spoke of the trips he and Nancy had been on and the fun times with grandchildren there was a great sense of pride. My sympathies Nancy and family. Dave was one of the first insurance managers I met at a local industry meeting, when I was transferred to London in the mid-eighties and I quickly gained respect for him as professional in our business. We were re-acquainted when I moved to London and started attending St. Annes. Always smiling, always in a great mood, Dave be missed by many.

We count ourselves blessed to have shared in so many years of friendship with Dave and Nancy. Whether is was attending Company trips together, visits to each other's homes or Pete and Dave's many opportunities to share ideas and attend work events, we enjoyed every minute. Words fail us in trying to adequately convey the deep loss that we share with you and the family right now Nancy. Dave gave generously of himself to the needs of so many others in life, we never knew him to ever complain, he was always optimistic and encouraging to everyone he met. These were some of his particular gifts. In our eyes, he was a man of greatness who will be forever treasured and loved by everyone within our family. May God bring you His comfort and peace. He must already be rewarding Dave for his life well lived.

Dear Dave you are now at peace without pain and we press on charishing our many memories of an amazing friend and gentle man. Nancy and family, my deepest sympathy. My memories include working and playing together back in our Shewin Williams days in 70's when Dave first came to London. And I will never forget the time I ran into him and how he glowed telling my about his new lady - Nancy. Our busy lives meant less time together but when we did it was like time never passed. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had Dave as a friend and there will always be a special place in my heart just for him. Pat

Doreen and Don, I am SO sorry to hear about David. I wish I could have really known him, the little I did know was that he was very special, and I know he will remain that way for always, with you. Yes, there is consolation in knowing that he is whole again, and that one day we will all be re-united with all of our loved ones, but it doesn't lessen the immediate pain of loss. We grieve for our loss, and that is as it should be.

Hello, I worked with Dave from time to time at London Life for the past dozen years. It was always fun to meet with Dave because he always saw humour in everything no matter how trivial or dry the topic might be. Dave was simply a wonderful man who was always so positive and a true friend. I will miss him very much.

At this very moment I can hear his wonderful laugh and see that great Stewart smile, and though I shed silent tears, these memories of my Uncle Dave will forever bring a smile to my face, laughter to my mind and a feeling of comfort to my heart. God bless you Nancy, and your family. I know for the next while you will all have days and nights of great sorrow but I also know that these wonderful memories of Dave will bring the same comfort to all of you and eveyone who was fortunate enough to have met such this kind soul in their lives. Thanks Uncle Dave, for giving a long-haired, 17 year-old kid some much-needed help when he needed it most. You're a good man Dave Stewart, and me and all the old gang from Fairway Road will miss you forever.

A truly uniquely gifted communicator I know he made a lasting impression on so many people. I will always remember him. My sincere coldolences.

It's been almost 2 years Dad. It still sucks not having you to talk to and be with. I feel the worse for my kids, they had such a ridiculously cool grampa, and I'm proud t say that you have not become a memory to them yet. You are still very much alive in their lives, as if you are still close and available when they want you. I hope that they are right when they tell me they talk to you and don`t miss you because of that. I, however am not that lucky or perhaps that perceptive, because I want to talk to you, I want to feel like your still here, but I don`t , and I miss you. Love Cory
