We were sad to hear of Uncle Bill's passing. I have wonderful childhood memories of visiting your home, swimming in the pool and enjoying delicious family meals outside. As a child, it seemed like your backyard stretched on forever and my sister and I loved to race to the back of the property with Tom and Jim to watch the trains go by. When I got older and married, you all introduced my husband and then our children to these traditions. In 2010, my niece (now 24) made her first return visit to Canada since leaving the country as an infant. We brought her to your home for a visit and it was amazing to sit by the pool with her and have dinner with you, just like my sister and I had done so many years ago. It was a great day! Todd has a huge interest in history, especially of the WWII era, and he just loved to hear your stories and reflections of years gone by. You had a life well lived and you will be remembered fondly.

My thoughts and prayers are with great aunt Kay and family. I know that great uncle Bill was dearly loved and will be missed by family and friends. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to meet such a lovely man. In the short time I spent with him I found him to be very strong willed and a very kind man. I only wish I had gotten to know him better but I am thankful for my time with him. My mother has fond childhood memories of great uncle Bill and great aunt Kay and I am glad he is now part of my memories. I will never forget you, love Heather
