Katherine Humber (co - worker at The Salvation Army Centre of hope) posted a condolence
To Stuart's Family, Words cannot heal the pain of losing someone so dear, May God give you and your family the strength to overcome the pain. May God give you courage , strength and support. While he wraps his loving arms around you and your family. Stuart was a co-worker of mine at The Salvation Army Centre of Hope and he will be sadly missed. I visited him a few times while he was in hospital and he was always full of life and enjoyed talking about God to me. He was a special man. He was always smiling and he is smiling even more now that he is in the arms of God. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. God Bless, Your sister in Christ Kathine Humber (co worker of Stuart) and the Late Gail Guest (Former Co worker of Stuart)

My deepest sympathies are extended to Stuart's family and friends. As a volunteer with Hospice of London, I became connected with Stuart in May '10. Throughout my visits with him, Stuart remained in strong spirit and became a positive influence in my own life. His love of family and God contributed to his optimistic view of his life's journey; Stuart was truly at peace.

My last letter to you, my favorite friend and devoted love; My sympathies to all your family. I am so happy they took such good care of you in the last few months. How wonderful it is to see a family pull together like yours has! Their love was apparent to me. You are already missed my dearest friend and love Stu. Life with you was never dull! You were funny and oh so smart. You believed in me when I didn't think I was able to do something, and then I did it! You were my favorite backgammon opp. not to mention all the other games the girls and I played with you. You were a great winner or loser with just a great attitude. Love for all of us radiated and was seen by all our friends. Over our years together you loved me with all of you. You talked to me and listened. You were my best friend. You said we would know one another the rest of our lives and we did. The many trips we took together were great fun. Our new England trip was the best! I will never forget leaving Canada one time into NY and you drove through the "No Cash" lane on accident. Then stopped and tried to pay and they wouldn't take your fifty cents. Our service to the troops was fabulous together with all those who volunteered their time to our organization. Operation Appreciation was you baby! You made sure to pay respect to those who lost their lives at the Pentagon by faxing every school and picking up each card or letter. You took them to our Congressmen Todd Platts to deliver 9-11-2002. In turn he gave them to Pres. Bush who put them in the National Archives! You are part of history and will be remembered by so many people. I could go on and on about all your hard work. Thank you for all the flowers. You know what they meant to me. My life will never be the same. You left a mark on my heart through it all. When you accepted Christ, wow that was my favorite day! Now you are in His everlasting care. It is hard to believe He loves you more then I do, but He does and you are in the BEST HANDS! I will miss you Panther and all our time together, even when it was over the phone. You were the best babe. See you in Heaven someday. Love Eternally, Judy (your Pebbles)

Stu: You would not remember me but I remember you. You played senior football at Oakridge and I played junior. I did not know you personally but I did say hello to you a few times in the hallways and the gym. All senior football players were my idols in those days. I now know you somewhat as a real person by having read the above condolences, and as a consequence, I wish you the very best in the "next chapter". Most Sincerely Stu, Dave McMillan Victoria, BC
