Obituary of Christina Day Ellsworth

Age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday March 26th, 2020, at Salem Hospital. Christina was born February 21st, 1964 in Ukiah, California to Walter Allan and Colleen Lynn (Powell) Cooper. Christina ran her own house cleaning business for many years then later in life her passion for helping people guided her into a career as a caregiver for the elderly and people with disabilities. Christina had a passion for cooking and everyone was always welcome to her home for dinner. Her favorite place was the coast where her family plans to spread her ashes. She loved her cats and could never have too many. Christina was a problem solver and loved to challenge herself. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and word searches, as well as playing card games but most of all she enjoyed putting together puzzles. Christina was a loving and devoted mother, daughter and grandparent. She was loved by her family and will be missed very much. She is survived by her parents, Colleen Lynn McDonald and Donald Gordon McDonald of Salem, two children, Anthony Coleman (Shea Coleman) and Matthew Coleman, as well as three grandchildren; Matty, Bryson and Dayven Coleman all of Corvallis. She is also survived by her sister Sherie Magnellos as well as her three cats Jasper, Selma and Louis. Christina was predeceased by her husband David Alan Ellsworth, her daughter, Danielle Day Coleman, and her brother Richard “Ricky” Wayne Cooper. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life that will be held at Cascade Gateway Park in Salem on Saturday June 13, 2020 from 1pm to 4pm in her memory. In lieu of flowers please bring a potluck dish as there will be no better way to remember her then to have a big meal surrounded by family and friends.
