Obituary of Jeffrey A Perkins

Our beloved husband, father and friend, Jeff Perkins of Salem, OR passed away on November 25th, 2019 after a long battle with prostate cancer. Jeff was 66 when he passed away. Jeff was born in Salem, OR to Walter and Berdene Perkins. Jeff served in the Navy after graduating from High School and returned to Salem to settle down. Jeff married his love, Connie, on November 19th 1977 and they just celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. Jeff graduated from Oregon State University while having 3 young children at home and working a full-time job. Jeff worked as a mechanic for the City of Salem for over 25 years retiring in 2015. Jeff was very active with his family; he coached little league baseball, basketball and followed his kids all over the country to watch them compete in athletics. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling with family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Berdene Perkins, his sisters: Virginia Reinhard and Barbara O’Hara. Jeff is survived by his wife of 42 years, Connie, his three sons: Justin (Marlene), Cory (Stephanie) and Brandon (Tina) and his 4 grandchildren: Autumn (Justin), Maliya (Brandon), Mason (Brandon) and Oliver (Brandon). Jeff will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of his life will be 1:30pm Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service (605 Commercial St. SE) in Salem.
