Obituary of Tyler Michael Noland
On Saturday, January 4th, 2020, Tyler Michael Noland passed away at OHSU Hospital in Portland, one day after his 35th birthday. Tyler was born on January 3, 1985 in Salem, to Paul Noland and Penny Downey. He was a member of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. He attended South Salem High School. At the time of his death, Tyler was employed at RedBuilt in Stayton. Previously, he had worked with his father, Paul and brother, Thomas Noland at Salem Masonry.
On December 26, 2016, Tyler married Ashley Munoz; together they had 2 children, Christopher 7 and James 5. He also had 2 stepchildren, Dustin and Samantha. Tyler and Ashley made their home in Aumsville.
Tyler was a devoted dad who worked hard to support Ashley and their family. He had his dad, Paul’s personality, and could make everyday activities into a good time. Tyler and his mom, Penny, enjoyed playing video lottery and dancing together. His other hobbies included fishing, hiking, camping, watching sports and gaming. As a boy he participated in basketball, football and taekwondo.
Tyler succumbed to complications from the flu and septic shock. He is survived by his grandma, Mary Jean Speakman; parents, Paul and Debbie Noland and Penny Downey; wife, Ashley; his four children, Dustin, Samantha, Christopher and James; his brothers, Jeremy Downey (Meghan) and Thomas Noland (Nikol) and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
