Dear Precious O’Connor family~
We want to express our deepest sympathies to each of you! Though heaven has received a true jewel, we ache here. We hold Janet dearly in our hearts, and treasure the time we got to overlap with her in life and in teaching at Keizer Christian. We enjoyed her bold and beautiful style in life and in faith in Christ Jesus. We remember with affection- from the 90’s- her leggings, her spiky hair style, her love of Twila Paris worship music, and the large laminated bear poster that always decorated her classroom.
With lots of love and ongoing prayers,
Dale and Lisa Kennedy

Dear Janet O'Conner family - I'm a proud member since high school in Virginia of the "I LOVE JANET Farrell O'conner" fan club. Indeed Janet's bright loving woman of faith energy entered anywhere she went. However, it lives on in those of us who have been touched by her amazing personality! Janet was blessed with a pure heart of love for others & we have all been blessed by her contagious, kindergarten-like straight forward arms wide openness to each of us & the world. I now live in Boston Massachusetts, I last saw Janet in Portsmouth many years ago, yet her presence remains close in my heart & memories with persistent inspiration, encouragement, unbridled joy & giggles. May God bless her primary family with comfort during this difficult time of separation with their precious memories & faith. Big Janet hugs and my condolence to each of the family both near & far!

Mike and I send all our love and prayers for Joe, Cyrus, Farrel, Chelsy,Jeff, Davis, Bethany, John, Sully. We are so honored to be connected as family through Bethany. Janet was vibrant, encouraging and she lived what she believed. When we talked on the phone she would tell me about her love of the extended family around her in Salem , and all the ways she prayed for her children and grandchildren. What a mighty woman. We were so touched that she rallied her kindergarten class to donate to a orphan family of 3 girls and one boy in South Africa. For years they helped support this family. They built a small home for them, paid for school uniforms and helped with a food package each month. What an advocate for the orphans she was, and gave this family a chance to thrive. She LOVED her children and prayed for all of you, and was proud of Sully and Davis. She gave her love and support in the best way possible that she knew to do. I cant express in words how much we respect and honor her. We know you experience such a great loss. I, (Kalyn) feel it as well. Each day as I wake I realise she is in heaven. We know she is fully present and whole. May God use our pain to draw nearer to Him, and thus to her as the Lord was her priority. Just contemplating Is. 53. Jesus Bears our pain. Let Him bear your pain in this season. He loves each of you completely. Janet touched untold numbers of people all touched by her love, She has inheritance in nations, especially South Africa.

I so enjoyed my time with Janet! Helping in her classroom once a week I could clearly see what a gifted teacher she was. She had such control and love for her classroom. It was a joy to watch her in action. We have always felt blessed that two of our five grands got the Mrs O’Connor Midas touch. Heaven got one of the best, there is no doubt about that.

Dear 0’Connor family,
Your mom, wife, relative was such a friend to me. She was my traveling buddy. I traveled with her from Virginia to Oklahoma more times than I can count. We spent so many days together. We drove in her Toyota, sunglasses upside down, cheese sticks in our mouths, singing to the the radio, without a care in the world. She and your dad lived with us for a time in our house in Virginia. She was a treasure. I cannot believe she is gone but I know she is singing and laughing with the Lord! Her signature phrase when we were in college was, “That Jesus, he’s a good old boy”. And he is! My heart goes out to you. She is in a better place but Jesus knows our hurt and he weeps with us! I am honored to call her and your Dad my friend. Time and space separated us but she was a friend who would be that friend that time and space didn’t matter. I am so thankful that she and I messaged each other on fb messenger a while back. She had four children and so did I. She will be forever missed, forever cherished, and forever celebrated for the woman of God that she was! Love all of you!!

Love, love you dear sis, Janet! There are too many memories to recall of the pure fun, laughter and encouraging input you gave to me and many. Still seems so surreal, doesn’t seem true that you are gone. We are family, you have all your sisters to make sure your beloved children and husband will be loved , cared and supported! Love Eileen
