Obituary of Katherine Galvin Clotworthy
KATHERINE GALVIN CLOTWORTHY, 84, passed away peacefully, Sept. 6, 2010. Beloved wife of William; cherished mother of Chris, Shawn and Tim; dear grandmother of Aidan, Linus and Du Hua; devoted sister of Martin, Donald, Michael, John and Sheila Galvin Roney (all of whom preceded her in death) as well as of her step-siblings, Steven DuBrul, Richard DuBrul, Nancy DuBrul Kaltoff (deceased) and Mimi DuBrul Settles. Additionally, she leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Mrs. Clotworthy recieved her B.A. from Marygrove College in Michigan in 1944. She went on to work as a writer in the Eisenhower White House. She will be dearly missed.
Friends may join the family for a memorial service at 11 a.m. Sept. 17 at the chapel of Ingleside, 3050 Military Rd NW. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions either to the Martin E. Galvin Fund, c/o Department of Internal Medicine, University of Michigan, 301 E. Liberty, Suite 400, Ann Arbor, MI 48104, to benefit research on pulmonary fibrosi; or to the Ingleside Supporting Fund, 3050 Military Rd. NW, Washington DC 20015; or to the charity of your choice.
