Obituary of Dale Morris

January 15, 1917 - June 14, 2016Dale W. Morris passed away on the evening of June 14, 2016 in Eugene, Oregon. Dale was born January 14, 1917 in Derby, Iowa. In 1942 Dale enlisted into the United States Army and served in the Division called the “Rolling W”. Once he completed his service he moved to Eugene, Oregon where he met and married the love of his life, Mickey (Dorothy) Joll May 3, 1948.Dale is survived by his three children Michael (Annetta), Teresa (David), Richard (Susan), grandchildren Hannah Soll Morris (mother Valerie), Zachary Hart, and Luke Hart.Dale was a strong contributor to his community. He was deeply involved in the Oregon State Grange and was a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry for 72 years. Dale was influential in the development of a number of organizations providing scholarship funds in Oregon.Our remarkable Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend will walk in our hearts forever.A memorial service will be held at the Irving Grange on Sunday July 24, 2016 at 1:00pm at 1011 Irvington Drive, Eugene Oregon.Arrangements entrusted to Lane Memorial Funeral Home.
