Brother to Bill (Dawn) Ermantrout. Brother in-law to Cheryl Ermantrout and Marcus Harris. Son in-law to Josephine Frost. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Ben is predeceased by his: parents John and Caroline Ermantrout; brothers Jerry and Ed Ermantrout; and Sister Loretta Harris.
Ben always joked about life, the good times the bad times, the rules of life and how to play the game and win. But when that day comes, it is not the assets you have accumulated or the money that you have made, in fact it is about family, the ones you love, the ones that are left behind, the love, the memories that we have shared and those that we will never share and the memory in our hearts that will always be with us, you cannot put it all into words or share it, but only time can heal us from the pain that we feel today. Ben, our family and friends will always love you forever, you will be missed dearly.
When I am Gone
When I am gone, release me – let me go
I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you love,
You can only guess how much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love each have shown,
But now it is time I travelled alone.
So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must,
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
It is only for a while that we must part
So bless those memories within your heart.
I will not be far away, for life goes on.
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you cannot see or touch me, I will be near
And if you listen with your heart, you will hear
All of my love around you, soft and clear.
Then when you must come this way alone,
I will greet you with a smile and "Welcome Home”
Thank you to Family and friends for your support
A celebration of life service was held on Monday, August 20, 2012 at the South Peace United Church with Reverend Marilyn Carroll officiating. Ben was cremated.
