Obituary of Mary Snook

Mary Elizabeth Snook was born September 25, 1945, to Mary Louise and Elbert Louis Snyder. She joined her Heavenly Father on September 20, 2016, after a long fight with leukemia. She married Joe Erickson in 1962. They later divorced. She met Dan, the Love of her life on March 1, 1991. They married August 29, 1995. They chose to take an Alaskan cruise for their honeymoon. Mary loved baking, opening her first Bakery in 1987, (Breads a Risin') later changing the name to Just Desserts, and Grand Finale, where she specialized in beautiful wedding cakes, and Gingerbread Houses, where she won several awards, at the festival of trees. Mary had a great love of animals, especially cats. She took in many strays always making sure they were spayed or neutered. The most important thing in her life was her large family, She loved family event and always brought the best desserts. Mary is survived by her husband Dan Snook, sons, Steven Dean Erickson of Florida, Gary Erickson (Kim), siblings Janice Knox, Gerald Snyder(Nan), Bonnie Cook(Wayne), Dale Talbot (Joele) Susan Muir(Terry), Scott Talbot(Gena). Stepdaughter Kim(Steve), nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brother James Snyder. Memorial Contributions can be made to Greenhill Humane Society. Funeral services will be Friday September 30th , 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3132 River Road, Eugene, Oregon 97404
