I was so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. Our friendship began when Dick married Libby, as she and I were classmates at Hopewell High School and we always remained close and kept in touch over many years since the 1940's. I regret not ever having met you, Gary and your wife, Pam, but my husband was in the Air Force and we traveled extensively, so I rarely returned to Hopewell. I know all too well what your family is going through as I lost my husband, Ralph over a year and a half ago. It is still very difficult, but there are so many wonderful memories, it does help to ease the pain. Just know that my prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time. Dick and I kept in touch via email until about a year ago. He was wonderful husband and friend. Thanks so much for letting me know of his passing. Ginny Costenbader

Our condolances to Gary and Pam. Gary, your Dad was the kind of man who I've always looked up to, and every day that goes by I regret not taking opportunities over the years to learn from these men more than I have. Our prayers are with you both during this time of mourning.
Love to you both,
Rod and Barb Oshel

Gary & family - Iwas sorry to hear of Dick's passing. He was a good man and I know all of his family and friends will miss him greatly. After your Mom's funeral Dave, Teresa, Darlene and I sat and talked with him for quite awhile back at his house. I had not known him very well over the years and learned much more about his personality that day. Darlene and I were so glad we got to share some time with him that day. I hope to be there for the viewing tonight but I have a conflict and I'm not sure how to make everything work. One of our closest friends here in our subdivision died this past weekend and his viewing is at exactly the same time. To make matters worse, there are tornado warning where we live. If I don't see you tonight, I hope we can see each other at a happier time in the future. It seems like the only time the family gets together any more is for weddings or funerals.
Once again, our deepest sympathies.

Mr.Barnes was definitely "old school". He was very witty and had a unique sense of humor,(like Father like Son). Eveh though Mr.Barnes's sight and body were humbled by Father time he still posessed all his faculties right to the end of his life. Mr.Barnes was always pleasant to talk to and made you feel welcome.
Gary and Pam were both loving enough to bring Mr.Barnes into their home to care for him the last 6 years of his life where he lived to be 92yrs old. We will all miss him.
