Obituary of Peggy Grantham
Peggy Grantham was born Peggy Gilmore in Porterville, CA, on December 14th, 1934. Her family moved to the Eugene area in the 1940's, and she continued to reside there for the remainder of her years. She married the love of her life, Harold Grantham, in June of 1952. She passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 30th, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Ruby Gilmore, and her sister, Georgia Mansfield. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Harold Grantham, of Eugene; daughter, Pam Wilson of Springfield; daughter, Deanna Grantham, of Eugene; son, Gary Grantham, of Eugene; granddaughter, Angie Wilson, of Springfield; sister, Debi Whitney of Madras, and Brother Sam Gilmore of Fort Worth, Texas. Peggy was a housewife and mother; she kept an immaculate house and was an amazing cook. She loved Hollywood trivia, antique glass, hummingbirds, movie magazines, Dr. Pepper, camping, dancing, and music. Her goal in life was to have fun and make others laugh, and she will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. A Funeral Service will be held Sat. Feb. 4th, at 12 pm, at Lane Memorial Gardens Chapel. There will be a Celebration of Life from 2 pm to 5 pm at Washington Park Center (2025 Washington Street in Springfield.)
