Obituary of Dawn Compton

Dawn Marie, 38, of Eugene Oregon, passed away unexpectedly in a car accident on Sunday January 22nd at approximately 7:30pm on her way home from the coast near Walton, Oregon.Dawn was born on March 26th,1978 in Stayton, Oregon.She was the daughter of Don Moffett and Sandra Lee Ortega.She is survived by her sons Colin Walsh and Justin Satteu. Daughter Kiley Emily. Parents Don Moffett and Jorge & Sandra Ortega. Brothers Rick and Mike Garoutte, Gary Bartlett, and Ray Ortega. Sisters Tammy Tomlinson and Heidie Ortega Morris. Nieces and nephews.Predeceased by her firstborn daughter, Sierra Walsh.Dawn Marie grew up and attended school in Jefferson Oregon. Dawn is described as being girly from day one. Dawn was always drawn to things pretty; Hair, make-up, mirror! She grew into a beautiful young woman. At a tender age Dawn became a mother. She did not shrink from this overwhelming responsibility but rather embraced it with all of its joys and even tragedy. Dawn was deeply generous. She was known for her kindness. For her big heart. Dawn loved deeply. This love was put on display in the way she dedicated her life to raising her children. Dawn moved to Eugene in order to be closer to family. She worked part time in childcare, and later became a teacher's aide at her daughters elementary school, where she often volunteered with functions and fundraisers. Dawn was a wonderful mother who set a profound example of what it means to care for your children.
