Obituary of Frances Wray
Frances Darlene Wray went to be with Jesus at the age of 82 on October 19, 2016. Her husband of almost 62 years was by her side holding her hand, her four children were also at her bedside. Frances was born September 9, 1934 to Frank and Gladys Gibson in Halsey Oregon. She had two older brothers, Delbert Gibson and Melvin Gibson and a twin brother Franklin Gibson; all of whom preceded her in death. She married Dave J Wray on November 24, 1954. Together they have four children; David Wray, Wanda Randall, Wendy Williams, and Vonda Wray. They have six grandsons, seven granddaughters and six great grandkids. Frances was an avid gardener and was involved with the Fuchsia and Begonia Society for over 30 years. She enjoyed many trips to the casino in Coos Bay, where she hit the jackpot many times. Alongside her husband, she was involved with the Santa Clara Fire District and later became an honorary member. She had a love of traveling with her husband for many years to Canada, Mexico, Glacier National Park, Mount Rushmore and the Grand Canyon. She love listening to Elvis Presley and Hank Williams Sr., and going to see Elvis impersonator's. She liked watching NASCAR, SportsCenter on ESPN, Red Sox games, wrestling, and Oregon State Football. Visitation will be held at Lane Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home on Friday, October 28, 2016, from 4-7 PM, located at 5300 W. 11th Ave., Eugene, OR. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016, 11:00 AM at Calvary Open Bible, located at 1116 Centennial Blvd., Springfield, OR. Immediately following the service, there will be a potluck at Calvary Open Bible. Arrangements entrusted to Lane Memorial Funeral Home.
