Fern Ellen (Bahr) Reding passed on January 18th, 2020 of age-related causes. A memorial service will be held for her at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 15th, at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Keizer, OR. A reception will follow in the church hall. Fern was born on February15th, 1925, in Osmond, Nebraska to John & Clara (Kahler) Bahr. She married the love of her life, Clarence Reding on March 5, 1945, in Yankton, SD. They moved to Springfield, OR in 1956. Fern perfected the role of homemaker in every way possible and was the ultimate model wife, mom, grandmother, friend for us all. She worked at Alexander's Department Store in Springfield for several years, enjoyed her flowers and garden, canning for the family, playing cards and dancing late into the night. She so loved her family and friends it only seems fitting we celebrate her wonderful life on the 95th anniversary of her birth. Survivors include two sons, Nick (Paula) Reding of Salem and Jack (Nancy) Reding of Keizer; a daughter Theresa (Kurt) Reuter of Puyallup, WA; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Clarence, August 2nd, 2010 and brother Orville Bahr, July 26th, 1995. Arrangements entrusted to Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, Springfield, OR.
