Michael PontrelliPLEASANT HILL — The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Holy Cross Mortuary in Culver City, Calif., with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, for Michael Angelo Pontrelli of Pleasant Hill, who died Sept. 11 of liver cancer. He was 84. No local service is planned.Pontrelli was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Los Angeles to Domenico and Giovanna D’Arco Pontrelli.He attended John Marshall High School in Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Trade-Technical Junior College. He served overseas in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Los Angeles as a meat inspector.Survivors include a brother, Chris Pontrelli Sr. of Fall Creek.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary.
