Obituary of Laura Eden

Laura EdenA memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, at the Campbell Senior Center in Eugene for Laura E. “Betty” Eden of Eugene, who died Sept. 24 of age-related causes. She was 87.She was born Jan. 20, 1922, in Holton, Kan., to Jesse and Mary Johnson.She was a U.S. Army nurse during World War II, and worked as a nurse at Sacred Heart General Hospital for nearly 20 years.Survivors include a daughter, Susan Souder of Roseburg; a brother, Ross of Ohio; and a granddaughter.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
