Obituary of Eugene Ganung

Eugene GanungA memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Eugene for Eugene “Gene” Hamilton Ganung, who died Sept. 14 of leukemia. He was 78.He was born Nov. 14, 1930, in Edgeley, N.D., to Curtis and Marvel Medberry Ganung. He married Joyce Nelson on June 16, 1956, in Perley, Minn.He attended school in Edgeley, N.D. He also attended Valley City State College and Dakota Business College. He worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for Western Equipment and later as an apartment manager with his wife.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Stephanie Conroy of Woodinville, Wash.; a son, Jeffrey of Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Harlan Ganung of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Evelyn Beethe of Fergus Falls, Minn., and Caroline Beethe of Minneapolis, Minn.; and three grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
