Obituary of Nellie Minnick

The funeral and celebration of life will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Nellie Marie Minnick of Springfield, who died Oct. 27 of age-related causes. She was 90. She was born Nov. 10, 1918, in Springfield, to Paul and Nellie Baker Edwards. She married Carl R. Minnick Oct. 16, 1935, in Lane County. He died June 21, 1989. She is survived by three daughters, Elota Holbrook of Christmas Valley, Carleen Simmons of Springfield and Jeanie Bigelow of Portland; two sisters, Pauline Minnick of Portland and Berdine of San Bernardino, Calif.; a brother, Frank Edwards of Portland; and 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
