Obituary of Charles Guile

A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Elmira Church of Christ, for Charles William "Bill" Guile of Elmira, who died Nov. 3 of pancreatic cancer. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene. He was born June 26, 1929, in Eugene, to Charles Miller and Madge Mary McMillan Guile. He married Anna Mae Standeford on Feb. 6, 1953, in Veneta. He graduated from Elmira High School, then attended Southern Oregon College and received a bachelor's degree from Oregon State College. He attended International Correspondence School for four years in mapping and surveying. He was a land surveyor for 50 years. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Sandra Kay Markham of Elmira; two sons, Charles of Junction City and Bradley of Elmira; and six grandchildren.
