Obituary of Hazel Fehrs

Hazel FehrsThe funeral will be at noon Friday, Dec. 11, at the Church of Christ in Junction City for Hazel M. Fehrs of Palmdale, Calif., formerly of Junction City, who died Nov. 29 of a heart attack. She was 88. Burial will be at Rest Lawn Memorial Park in Junction City, after the funeral.She was born March 9, 1921, in Brockton, Mont., to Ernest and Emma Jenkins Lewis. She married John Fehrs on Dec. 25, 1939, in Brockton. He later died.She was a high school graduate.She worked as a tax clerk for Josephine County, and in accounting, bookkeeping and clerical in the insurance and banking industries.Survivors include a daughter, June Battey of Palmdale; a son, Delmer of Aloha; a sister, Irene Strawn of Corvallis; a brother, Elmer Lewis of Vancouver, Wash.; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Luella Thomas, died previously.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
