Carl PuchaczA memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine of Sienna in Veneta for Carl Puchacz of Veneta, who died Nov. 25 of age-related causes. He was 83.He was born April 8, 1926, in Saginaw, Mich., to Carl and Anna Milewicz Puchacz. He married Lavera Hollingsworth on Nov. 16, 1967 in National City, Calif.He served in the Marine Corps in the South Pacific and China during World War II and later worked as a military graphic artist.Survivors include his wife; a son, Tommie La Fourcade of Salmon, Idaho; four daughters, Carol La Fourcade of Rancho Mirage, Calif., Norma Anzalone of Creswell, Annette Houston of Santee, Calif., and Suzanne Tull-Stroup of Veneta; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Ann Marie Puchacz, died in 2003.Arrangements by England’s Eugene Memorial Chapel.Remembrances to the American Legion in Junction City or the MidLane Love Project Food Pantry in Veneta.
