Obituary of Modine Paslay

Modine M. Paslay of Springfield died Dec. 16 of age-related causes. She was 81. A private family service is planned. Burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene.She was born March 5, 1928, in Hot Springs National Park, Ark., to Burton and Edith Roper McClain. She married William C. Paslay on Sept. 27, 1946, in Hot Springs, Ark.She had a high school education and worked at Eugene Fruit Growers and Agripac before retiring in 1990. She was a homemaker.Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Linda Stone of Springfield; two sons, Ron and Rick, both of Springfield; a sister, Geneva Griffith of Hot Springs; five brothers, Coy McClain and Bert McClain, both of Winston, Ore., O.D. McClain of Henderson, Nev., Stanley McClain of Sioux City, Neb., and Bill McClain of Red Bluff, Calif.; and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
