Obituary of Ruby Woodland

Ruby WoodlandCRESWELL — The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at the Creswell Church of Christ for Ruby J. Woodland of Creswell, who died Dec. 15 of cancer. She was 74. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.She was born April 2, 1935, in Looking Glass, Ore., to Wilbur and Daisy Mae Holmes Perkins. She married Nelson Woodland on June 7, 1953, in Creswell.She attended Creswell High School. She was a homemaker, editor of the Creswell Chronicle newspaper and was the assistant fair manager at the Lane County Fair.Survivors include her husband; three sons, Nelson “Nels” of Olympia, Steve of Eugene and Scott of Creswell; a daughter, Sandra Barreau of Springfield; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.Burial will follow the funeral at the Creswell Pioneer Cemetery. A gathering will follow at the Woodland’s home in Creswell. Arrangements by England’s Creswell Memorial Chapel.
