Obituary of Barbara Whitehead

Barbara WhiteheadA memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Eugene for Barbara Whitehead of Eugene, who died Dec. 13 of age-related causes. She was 92. Inurnment will be at Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene.She was born May 2, 1917, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to William and Florence Clark Rice. She married Robert Whitehead in 1938, in Fort Dodge. He died in 1981.She graduated from Fort Dodge High School.She worked in the note department at First National Bank of Oregon for 19 years before retiring in 1979. She volunteered with the Hospital Guild at Sacred Heart Medical Center for many years, and at the welcome desk at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church for more than 25 years.Survivors include a son, Thomas Whitehead of Eugene; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
