Obituary of Donald Bowder

Donald BowderA memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Musgrove Family Mortuary for Donald Eugene Bowder of Eugene, who died Dec. 18 of lung cancer at age 77.He was born July 29, 1932, in Modesto, Calif., to Arthur and Ethel Montgomery Bowder. He married Nancy Caskey on May 18, 1958, in Roseburg. They divorced in November 1985. He married LaVonne Gallagher on Aug. 11, 1990.He attended the University of Oregon and was a radar operator in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Germany during the Korean War.He was a truck driver for Chevron for nearly 30 years.Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul of Tacoma and Mark of Vancouver, Wash.; a stepdaughter, Erin Gallagher of Seattle; a stepson, Brian Gallagher of Eugene; a sister, June Stroment of Springfield; and four grandchildren.Remembrances to Greenhill Humane Society.A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Musgrove Family Mortuary for Donald Eugene Bowder of Eugene, who died Dec. 18 of lung cancer.
