Obituary of Louise Kracht

SPRINGFIELD — Louise Kracht of Springfield died Dec. 7 at age 86. Her family chose not to disclose the cause of death. No service is planned. Entombment is at Springfield Memorial Gardens.She was born Jan. 16, 1923, in Rifle, Colo., to C.R. and Irva Murdoch Evans. She married Robert G. Kracht on Dec. 21, 1945, in King County, Wash. He died Oct. 22, 2009.She graduated from Woodland High School in Woodland, Wash., and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon in 1970. She was a sergeant and a medical technician with the Army during World War II.She was a homemaker and an amateur geologist, and participated in some archeological operations.Survivors include two sons, Shannon and Robin, both of Springfield; a brother, Irv Evans of Washington; a sister, Patsy Komen of Washington; and one granddaughter.Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
