Obituary of Alvera Watson

Alvera Raye Watson of Eugene died Dec. 2 of age related causes. She was 88.She was born Feb. 17, 1921, in Foil, Mo., to Mack and Nola Conrad Stone. She married Benjamin Watson on Sept. 5, 1939, in Romance, Mo. He died in 1987.She retired from Eugene Hospital & Clinic after working there for 25 years.Survivors include a daughter, Joy Carter of Branson, Mo.; a son, Bennie of Eugene; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. A stepgrandson, Michael Bullock, died in 2000.The private graveside funeral will be held at Rest-Haven Memoral Park in Eugene. Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
