Obituary of Dorothy Blood

Dorothy V. Blood of Eugene died Dec. 26 of cancer. She was 85. A private memorial service will be held.She was born July 30, 1924, in Kearney, Neb., to Harry C. and Hattie P. Mitchell. She married Carl A. Blood Aug. 20, 1947, in Eugene. He died May 21, 2002.She attended business college. She worked as a supervisor of typists for an air force base in Nebraska during World War II, then as an accountant and receptionist for Booth-Kelley Lumber Co., and as a homemaker.Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Blood of Eugene; three sons, Curtis of Seattle, Kenneth of Eugene and David of Venice, Fla.; and three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Chapel of Memories Funeral Home in Eugene.
