Obituary of Kenneth Rogers

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 13th Avenue and Polk Street in Eugene for Kenneth O. “K.O.” Rogers, who died Dec. 1 of age-related causes. He was 85.He was born March 17, 1924, in Newberg, to William and Alva Rogers. He married Mildred Tucker on Aug. 10, 1947.He had a ninth-grade education. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.He worked as a long-haul trucker, logger and sawmill owner.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sharon Rogers-Anderson of Niagra-on-the-Lake, Ontario, and Janet Evans of Lebanon; four sons, Richard of Eugene, Randy of Stayton, Kenneth, Jr., of Ramona, Calif., and Maurice of Scappoose; a brother, William Rogers of Fort Fraiser, B.C.; and 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A grandchild died previously.Arrangements by West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene. Remembrances to Sacred Heart Hospice.
