Obituary of Garald Derby

Garald DerbyA memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at the Eugene Faith Center for Garald W. Derby of Eugene, who died Dec. 11 of Parkinson’s disease complicated by renal failure. He was 76. A private burial was held at Comstock Cemetery in Curtin.He was born June 6, 1933, in Muskegon, Mich., to Walter and Helen Spencer Derby.He married Patricia Stever on Oct. 15, 1955, in Ludington, Mich.He was a C.L.U. life insurance underwriter, and owned his own insurance agency.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tamara Peterson of Crow; two sons, Matthew of Roseburg and Mark of Eugene; and 10 grandchildren.
