Obituary of Estchel Brock

Estchel BrockA memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Eugene for Estchel A. Brock of Eugene, who died Dec. 30 of age-related causes. She was 93.She was born April 5, 1916, in Ozark, Ark., to Alexander and Ola Shelby McKenzie. She married Wayne Brock on Dec. 26, 1936, in Ozark. He died in October 1985.She graduated from Charleston High School in 1932 in Charleston, Ark. She was a homemaker.Survivors include two daughters, Eleanor Shantz of Eugene and Eloise Phillips of Walla Walla, Wash.; three sisters, Cora Peeples of Hilton Head, S.C., Pauline Payan of Orange, Calif., and Frances Weissmann of Lake Forest, Calif.; a brother, William McKenzie of Lancaster, Calif.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.Burial will be at Norway Cemetery in Myrtle Point.
