Obituary of Wilbert Adank
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Wilbert “Wimp” Adank of Eugene, who died Jan. 2 of age-related causes. He was 83. A reception following the service will be at the Lakewood Park Clubhouse, and burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens.He was born July 9, 1928, in Waumandee, Wis., to Daniel and Emma Servais Adank. He married Alice Marie Nielsen June 29, 1952, in Junction City.He served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II, and in Japan after the war.He worked as a car loader, grader and tally man for various lumber mills, retiring from Swanson’s Lumber Mill in Noti.Survivors include his wife and two sisters, Margaret Van Devender of Eugene and Armilla Grubbs of Tomahawk, Wis.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene.
