Wayne CrumpackerThe funeral will be at 2 p.m on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Sunset Hills Funeral Home in Eugene for Wayne D. Crumpacker of Eugene, who died Jan. 8 of age-related causes at age 91.He was born Dec. 19, 1918, in Conrad, Mont., to Herman and Lina Bloch Crumpacker. He married Marie Size-more in May 1952 in Ve-nita, Okla. She died April 3, 2008.He graduated from high school in Montana. He served in the South Pacific during World War II and received the Bronze Star.He worked as a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1982.Survivors include a son, Kurt of Eugene; a daughter, Patti Clendenin of Alachua, Fla.; a brother, William of Walla Walla, Wash.; a sister, Jean Crumpacker of Spokane; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Remembrances to VFW Springfield Post.
