Obituary of Ruth Wilmarth-Corley

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for Ruth E. Wilmarth-Corley of Eugene, who died Jan. 1 of age-related causes. She was 91. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens.She was born April 27, 1918, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Albert and Ann Ellison Bright. She married Ira St. Clair in 1936, in Indiana, and they later divorced. She married Cecil Wilmarth in 1947, in Eugene, and he died in 1970. She married Joel Corley in 1972, in Carson City, Nev., and he died in 1999.She worked at various hotels in Eugene, was a homemaker and volunteered at New Life Youth Camp for many years.Survivors include six daughters, Donna Asbell of Portland, Sherrill Harris of Springfield, Charlene Cramer of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Wilma Morrow, Joyce Given and Nita Harding, all of Eugene; a son, Cecil Wilmarth of Eugene; and 28 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. A son, Paul St. Clair, died in 2001; a daughter, Tricia Hayes, died in 2004; and a grandson, Donald Given, died in 1997.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene.
