James BachhuberJames Lee Bachhuber of Eugene died Jan. 16 of a stroke. He was 80. A memorial service will be held in the spring.He was born July 14, 1929, in Chicago to Dr. Francis G. and Lilyan Sette Bachhuber. He married Janet Marie Lamb on March 31, 1956, in Oakland, Calif.He received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. He served as a crypto analyst with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.He worked as a hospital and teaching institutions representative for Schering Plough and was a reserve officer with the police department in Santa Clara, Calif.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Julie Mansell of Eugene; two sons, Jeffrey of Pleasant Hill, Calif., and Jay of Edgewater, Md.; two sisters, Kathryn Terry of Milwaukee, Wis., and Judi Andresen of Franklin, Wis.; two brothers, Dr. Michael Bachhuber of Mayville, Wis., and Dr. Fred Bachhuber of Boulder City, Nev.; and 11 grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
