Obituary of William Pottker

William PottkerA memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at the First United Methodist Church in Eugene for William Howard Pottker of Eugene, who died Dec. 16 of cancer. He was 81.He was born July 1, 1928, in To-ledo, Ohio, to William and Bessie DeWitt Pottker. He married Nancy Mohler Hervey in Eugene on May 26, 1973. She died May 7, 2006.He graduated from Springfield High School and attended the University of Oregon. He served in the U.S. Army in 1946 and 1947.He worked in sales.Survivors include two daughters, Laura Donovan and Lisa Collins, both of Seattle; two sons, Howard of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and Doc of Eureka, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Theresa Gniewosz of Portland; three stepsons, David and Phillip Hervey, both of Bend, and Mark Hervey of Hawaii; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
