Obituary of Christine Tigue

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home for Christine Velvet Tigue of Springfield, who died Jan. 15 of age-related causes at age 82. Burial will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens.She was born June 2, 1927, in North Carolina to Roy and Ada Proctor Davis. She married James D. Tigue on Oct. 12, 1946, in Rossville, Ga.She was a homemaker.Survivors include her husband; four sons, Steve, Johnny, James and Jerry; a daughter, Linda Rodriguez; four brothers, Shiffley Davis, Cecil Davis, Billy Davis and Bobby Davis; and 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.Remembrances to American Alzheimer’s Association.
