Obituary of Violet Peerson

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Lane Memorial Gardens for Violet Elizabeth Peerson of Eugene, who died Jan. 21 of Alzheimer’s disease. She was 95.She was born Sept. 24, 1914, in Eugene to Ralph and Elva Oakes. She married John Peerson in 1931 in Springfield. He died in 1990.She is a graduate of Springfield High School, and worked at the Eugene Hotel for more than 35 years.Survivors include a daughter, Betty Ramos of Eugene; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. Three daugthers, Thelma Hinkle, Elva Gardner and Anna Tennison, and a son, Albert Peerson, died previously.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene. Remembrances to hospice organizations.
