Ronald DarlingThe funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Ronald Kenneth Darling of Eugene, who died Jan. 14 of a pulmonary embolism. He was 64. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.He was born Dec. 28, 1945, in Eugene, to Stanley and Evelyn Patterson Darling. Kathryn Hill was his domestic partner for seven years.He received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in management science.He joined the consulting division of Arthur Anderson & Co. in Chicago in 1969, and was partner-in-charge of the Middle East and south Asia before retiring from the company in 1989. For the past five years, he worked as a claims technician for the Social Security Administration Office of Disability, Adjudication and Review.Survivors include his former domestic partner; a son, Alexander Darling of Eugene; and a brother, Stanley Robert Darling, Jr., of Christchurch, New Zealand.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
