Winnie CarltonA memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at Living Hope Church in Eugene for Winnie Carlton of Eugene, who died Jan. 24 of complications from diabetes. She was 87. A private family burial will be at Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene.She was born May 27, 1922, in Richmond, Calif., to Edwin and Myrtle Streeter McDougall. She married Mitchell Carlton in 1946, in Richmond. They divorced in 1972.She attended the University of California at Berkeley.She worked for Western Union during World War II. She was a homemaker, worked as a certified nursing assistant at Emerald Valley in the early 1980s, then worked for the University of Oregon as a benefits clerk before retiring in 1998.Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Batchelder of Florence and Gayle Morris of Eugene; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
