Obituary of Marie Loome

Marie LoomeA memorial Mass will be at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eugene for Marie H. Loome of Eugene, who died Jan. 28 of age-related causes. She was 89. Private inurnment will be at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.She was born March 25, 1920, in Kleinpodersdorf, Austria, to Fred and Ella Wascaitz Heritsch. She married Thomas J. Loome Jan. 12, 1946, in Chicago.She was a homemaker.Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sharon Cate of Graham, Wash.; three sons, Patrick of Eugene, Brian of Springfield and William of Toledo, Ohio; a sister, Jean Atchley of Ventura, Calif.; and six grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
