Obituary of Charles Craighill

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Charles B. Craighill of Eugene, who died Feb. 1 of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was 83.He was born April 27, 1926, in Pueblo, Colo., to Kenneth and Cora Craighill. He married Melva Hawkins on April 25, 1948, in Eugene. She died previously.He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked in road construction.Survivors include a son, Charles Jr. of Eugene; a daughter, Linda Bailey of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Alvin of Texas and Robert of Elmira; and three grandchildren.Burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene. Remembrances to the Veneta Senior Center.
